Craig S. Atwood, PhD

founder & chief executive officer

Dr. Atwood is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison; a Research Scientist at the Madison VA GRECC; and Research Director of the Laboratory for Endocrinology, Aging and Disease. Dr. Atwood is a widely-acknowledged authority regarding the neuroendocrinology of aging and Alzheimer's disease. The research in his laboratory is based on a novel theory of aging that links reproductive hormone signaling to cell cycle dynamics that regulate our growth and development early in life, our reproductive function during adult life, and our senescent phenotype in late adult life. Dr. Atwood has extensive experience with basic and clinical research in both academic and biopharmaceutical settings. His research has led to the success of two previous start-up companies, one culminating in a successful IPO.



Dr. Yu is a urological surgeon based in Annapolis, Maryland and Washington, DC. He is a Professor of Urology at the George Washington University Medical Center and partner in Aegis Medical and Research Associates. He received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, prior to residencies in General Surgery (Brigham and Women’s Hospital, MA) and Urology (John Hopkins University, MD) and has been in practice for 42 years. Dr. Yu’s research and clinic focuses on strategies to rebalance sex hormones to promote healthy aging.

Mr. Kohl is the founder and owner of several successful small businesses and has managed large teams and budgets in excess of $100M. His past experience, and continued consultancy, includes multiple Fortune 500 companies, including DOW, Pfizer, Merck, General Electric, Shell Oil, ADM, Procter & Gamble, and Ecolab. Throughout his careers, he has acquired technical expertise spanning environmental remediation, industrial wastewater treatment, medical devices, and pharmaceutical development; and corporate expertise spanning global business operations, large transactions, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, investor relations, and outsourcing of production.

Mr. Racine is Director of Treasury Operations for TDS telecommunications, an angel investor in the Wisconsin start-up community and an active member of the Wisconsin Investment Partners, and an expert in cash management system/process design, technology application, including SOX404, PCI DSS, data mining, analysis, data visualization, and strategic planning.

Mr. Cliff is co-founder of Opsis Therapeutics, co-founder of RPRD Diagnostics, and co-founder and CEO of Vascugen. He previously served as Director of Business Development at Cellular Dynamics International (CDI), a FUJIFILM company. There he established a pipeline of cell therapy development programs targeting Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Heart Failure, Parkinson's Disease, and certain other conditions. Prior to CDI, Mr. Cliff held positions at several leading drug discovery tools companies, including Meso-Scale Discovery, Life Technologies, Ingenuity Systems, and Upstate Biotechnology.
